A trusted leader in business and nonprofits, Wendy McKinney is a mission-driven executive, author, co-pastor and dedicated wife and mother of three. She has mastered the art of balancing work, family and a life of service.
As former Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross and the San Diego History Center, and Development Director for the Neighborhood House Association, Wendy raised millions to benefit the San Diego region. Previously, she excelled as a Financial Services Executive with AIG, where she successfully led the sales and marketing team.
For more than 30 years, Wendy has trained and inspired hundreds through leadership conferences, coaching, retreats and motivational speaking. A dedicated volunteer and community connector, she serves on several nonprofit boards and committees, including San Diego Rotary Club 33, Goodwill of San Diego, Just in Time for Foster Youth, Generate Hope, UPAC, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and UCSD’s Community Advisory Board for the Black Women’s Alzheimer’s Study.
Wendy earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and a nonprofit executive leadership certification from the University of Michigan. She also holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation.
