Bio

Torrey Albertazzi brings nearly 20 years of experience navigating organizational change across the nonprofit and private sectors. She began her nonprofit career at Price Charities, where she played a pivotal role in creating the City Heights Partnership for Children, a cross-sector collective impact initiative. When the Partnership transitioned to United Way of San Diego County, Torrey moved with it, continuing to orchestrate collaboration by building strong relationships with community, policy and systems leaders locally, statewide and nationally.

As Director of Strategic Initiatives, Torrey served at the intersection of United Way’s Community Impact, CSR and Resource Development work to align partners and leverage resources to create positive change in the community. Her earlier professional experience includes administrative and business development roles for Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, one of the nation’s leading law firms.

After nine years with United Way, Torrey joined Blair Search Partners in 2022 as Director of Operations and was promoted to Managing Director in 2024. Working across every area of the firm, she manages daily operations, organizational development, strategic growth initiatives and the day-to-day execution of the firm’s vision for market growth, marketing and client/community engagement.

Torrey is a member of LEAD San Diego, previously served on United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council and has volunteered with the National Marine Mammal Foundation. She holds a BA from CSU San Marcos and an MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego. Honored as one of San Diego’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40, she was also a San Diego Business Women of the Year finalist.

With her middle name, Kahupoohala, meaning “guardian of the family way,” Torrey takes great pride in her family background and richly diverse heritage, which includes Native Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian and Native American roots.
