Bio

Margie Newman Tsay doesn’t just manage reputations; she helps her clients ensure they’re never caught unprepared. Margie is the strategic advisor leaders call when the stakes are highest and the margin for error is zero.

As the founding partner of Intesa Communications Group, Margie is on “speed dial” for high-profile leaders navigating the intersection of public scrutiny and mission-critical success. With a career spanning the halls of government as a press aide to former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen to the global stage of The Pew Charitable Trusts, she has spent decades mastering the art of the “Stay Ready” mindset: building reputation capital before you need to spend it.

A charismatic and in-demand speaker, Margie brings a rare blend of real-talk energy and deep industry know-how to the stage. Her track record of building confidence and enhancing reputations has earned her consistent accolades, including being named a San Diego Business Journal CEO of the Year (2025) and Communicator of the Year by the IABC.

Beyond her firm, Margie walks the walk of leadership through her service on the boards of Sharp HealthCare, the Downtown San Diego Partnership and as Immediate Past Chair of the YMCA of San Diego County. Whether she’s emceeing a major event or advising a nonprofit through a pivot, Margie’s goal is always the same: helping leaders build the Reputation Runway they need to soar.

A proud Auburn University Tiger (War Eagle!), Margie finds her greatest joy in her family: Kai, Owen, Jake, Suzie and CJ.
