Bio
LaShonda Williams, MPA, CFRE, is a philanthropy leader and fundraising strategist with more than two decades of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through intentional donor engagement and ethical fundraising practices. She currently serves as Manager of Philanthropy at Memorial Hermann Foundation, where she manages a portfolio of major gift prospects and helps connect donors who want to build healthier communities now and for generations to come.
Previously, LaShonda served as Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she helped lead strategies to deepen alumni engagement and expand annual giving participation during the institution’s Centennial year. She spent nearly seven years as Director of the Annual Fund at Prairie View A&M University, where she developed innovative campaigns that successfully transitioned alumni affinity into philanthropic investment. Her work increased alumni giving by 40 percent, generating more than $4.2 million in support, including nearly 30 endowments and more than 4,000 new donors.
During her time at PVAMU, LaShonda joined the National University Fundraising Academy training team, where she develops and delivers Cause Selling curriculum and professional development training for fundraising professionals.
