Bio
For 20 years, Kate has worked with mission-driven organizations across various sectors. She is currently director of nonprofit strategy for PNC Institutional Asset Management. In this role, she advises nonprofit clients on board governance, nonprofit finance, fundraising, governance and operational best practices, and strategic planning. She contributes to thought leadership, presents at industry events and works with key stakeholders in the community to promote PNC’s commitment to the nonprofit sector.
Previously, she served as CEO of the Long Beach Public Library Foundation, where she managed an organizational turn-around and two capital campaigns, leading the organization through record-breaking growth. She has also worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, the American Red Cross's Office of ESG and Sustainability, Disney, ESPN, Maria Shriver, the Lear Family Foundation, the British Royal Family, and many others.
Kate holds a CFA Institute Investment Foundations certificate; is a College of Financial Planning Chartered Sustainable, Responsible, and Impact Investment Counselor (CSRIC); and completed a fellowship with the New England Impact Investing Initiative. Kate graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of California, Irvine and summa cum laude with a Master of Arts in public diplomacy from The University of Southern California.
