Ingrid de Llamas, CFRE, IAP is a retired fundraising leader who has raised more than $100 million for nonprofits and now serves as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Diego.

Bio

Ingrid de Llamas, CFRE, IAP is a fundraising and advancement professional whose career was focused on the creation of strategic advancement plans, growing programs and relationship building essential to the success and long-term viability of the non-profits she worked with in her thirty-plus-year career. She spent the bulk of those years building development programs for private and independent schools.

She currently serves the community as the President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Diego, managing trustee for a private foundation and as an active member of Rotary Club 33. Past board service includes the Pasadena Symphony & Pops, San Diego Public Library Foundation (nominating chair, engagement chair), Barrio Logan College Institute and Living Rooms at the Border (a Casa Familiar project).

Ms. de Llamas chaired the Campaign for the New San Ysidro Library from 2017 through 2019 and as a volunteer, secured more than $2.7 million in funding for the capital campaign and ongoing programming.  The library opened in the Fall of 2019. She also served as the Director of Philanthropy for the Comic-Con Museum where she raised $17 million dollars for the build-out of the museum in Balboa Park before leaving to serve the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County.

Ms. de Llamas has raised more than $100 million in her career for a variety of non-profit organizations. She was named the Asian Business Association’s Volunteer of the Year in 2018, San Diego Public Library Foundation’s Volunteer of the Year for 2019, and was nominated as one of San Diego’s Outstanding Fundraising Professionals in 2019.  She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Specialized Communications.  

Ms. de Llamas retired in 2025 to allow more time for her passion projects. She has dedicated her expertise to growing the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ reach and impact in San Diego, working upwards of forty hours per week over the last two years in her role as president.

Ms. de Llamas is committed to seeing that first-generation students can attend college, that women have access to safe and affordable healthcare, and that libraries and the services they provide are available in every neighborhood, especially in our most underserved communities.
