Adam Clevenger, CFRE has spent his entire career building donor passion for causes. For nearly two decades, he has created donor-centered and sustainable fundraising programs for a variety of nonprofit organizations. In 2016, Adam joined Loring, Sternberg and Associates and has been a partner since 2018. Before joining the Loring, Sternberg and Associates team, Adam served as Regional Collaboration Manager for the YMCA of the USA, working closely with 300 local Ys to support their board development, annual and capital fundraising efforts; Director of the Hanover College President’s Club; Director of Annual Giving for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis providing leadership to the annual campaign for 13 branches that raised more than $2 million each year.
In addition to annual support efforts, Adam has been a key leader on staff teams raising $80 million in capital contributions. He is a frequent contributor to Bloomerang and the North American YMCA Development Organization (NAYDO), Showcase of Fundraising Innovation and Inspiration; and conference and workshop presenter with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, NAYDO, the Association of Donor Relations Professionals, and National CASA/GAL.
As a volunteer, Adam serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis-based hunger relief organization Second Helpings; board member of Coburn Place, providing transitional housing for survivors of domestic abuse; Hanover College Advancement Advisory Committee; former board member for The Julian Center which empowers survivors of domestic abuse; and former VP of Finance for the Indiana Chapter of Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Adam is also a proud member of Class 45 of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Program.
Adam has also received several honors and awards, including both Marita R. Scherer Esprit de Corps and President’s Awards from AFP Indiana, and the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award from AFP Indiana.
